It is believed that the Heart of Sati Devi has fallen here. The origin of the Shakti Peetha status temple is from the mythology of Daksha yaga and  self-immolation. Interestingly, there is no statue or image of the Goddess inside the sacred Arasuri Ambaji temple. The priests decorated the upper part of the gokha in such a way that it looked like an idol of the goddess from a distance. The sacred Sri Yantra is worshiped as the original deity. He is not allowed to photograph the machine. On full moon days, the temple receives divine
light and lakhs of devotees visit it to soak in its beauty and spirituality. A huge fair is held on Bhadra Purnima day and many people walk from their hometown to reach the temple.
